Michigan Shores Vacation

I really, really prefer large bodies of fresh water to the stinky, salty ocean. So the ride to Frankfort/Traverse City, Michigan sounded fine to me!

Jackson enjoying the rides at the Cherry Festival in Traverse City.

Luke enjoying lots of stroller time.

At an outlook in Sleeping Bear National Dunes National Lakeshore.

We rented a surrey in Frankfort, Michigan - where we stayed. The boys really enjoyed it, but man that thing was hard to pedal! I think it would have been easier if we all just piled on a regular bike - ya know, clown-style. An automatic drive, like our lawn mower, would have been much appreciated.

Fun and games at Pirate's Cove in Traverse City. The boys will really love this place if we come back here when they are older. They have an awesome ropes course, a zip line, and waterslides too. All pirate themed. What 8-year-old wouldn't love that? At the end of your mini-golf, the kids get a pirate's booty bag, which Jackson really enjoyed.

It looks fun and Luke looks like he was a good sport in that stroller. But you're insane about the ocean. Poor Midwestern girl. ;)
