Dinner

My conversation with Jackson about what he wanted to have for dinner culminated in him declaring that he wanted eggs and popcorn. That's wierd, I know. But what's even more curious, is that I said "okay" and cooked it for him anyway. What the heck, it's the end of 2007, right? Celebrate with a bang, kid.

Jackson & Daddy

Sorry there's been no posts for a few days. I'm sure you're all just waiting with baited-breath for updates. I've just been busy and not had much to say, I guess.
He's been in a bit of the mood all week, but, as you can see in the photo, things were better today. Let's hope this attitude adjustment sticks around for a while; it is the holidays after all.

Making Santa Say "Uncle"

Jackson has found "ways", other than being put on Santa's "good list", to make sure that he gets some serious loot on December 25th.

Playing with Mommy's Family Heirloom

This music box was the best Walgreens purchase my Mom ever made...and she has made A LOT of Walgreens purchases in her lifetime. She probably bought it in like 1980 or something so this juggling, dancing Santa has really held up. I'm sure Jackson will find a way to break it though.

Maples Look-alike Meter

According to this "expert" face recognition software, Jackson doesn't look as much like Chris as everyone thinks!

These results will really throw Chris for a loop.....he enjoys it so much when people follow-up their statement about Jackson being "cute" with a statement that Jackson looks just like Chris. I think what Chris hears them saying is: "Damn, Chris! You're cute!"

Santa 2007

So apparently, the second time around is the charm for Jackson. After refusing to get any closer than 10 feet away on Saturday, he made it all the way to Santa's lap at daycare on Tuesday.

Twice.

Yes, twice. Apparently, one trip just wasn't enough Santa for him. He couldn't get enough Santa. Or maybe he felt like Ralphie in A Christmas Story because he "froze" and told Santa the wrong wish the first time. I don't know. But reports have it that after he went back to his daycare room from his first visit with Santa, he stood at the door and screamed/cried until daycare let him go sit on Santa's lap again. He was charming, I'm sure.

This picture is from his second trip to see Santa. Funny, from the look on his face, you would have NO IDEA that he was enjoying himself here.

Kelly Christmas Party 2007

Uncle Billy showing Jackson how to jump off the step ladder...and not doing a very good job at it.This was as close as Jackson got to Santa. He liked watching him, but I think that the jingling bells really irriated Jackson. By the time Santa was leaving, Jackson was waving and saying "bye-bye Santa"...but only from a distance. He may not have gotten close to Santa, but Jackson's no dummy....he made sure to get the loot from the big guy in red before he left.
