We Went Ahead & Gave Him a Rosary...
...because we thought it pitiful to try to pass off a rosary as a Christmas gift from Santa to a 3 year old --- even if it may have helped us keep the true meaning of Christmas in mind on the big day.

The real reason, of course, being to appease the paganistic tendencies of our ancestors culture by tying the birth of Christ, whose birthdate is unknown and barely celebrated in the New Testament, to the annual celebration of earth and nature and harvest and family at the winter solstice, right?
That's nice. I remember my first rosary glowed in the dark! Fancy! And kind of creepy!
