Surfer Dude

The weather was really nice at the cabin on Saturday so we were able to go swimming in the lake. This was his first time swimming this summer and it took him a good 15 minutes to warm up to it enough just to stop crying/whining about it. Of course, he didn't let go of me, but that was good. He ended up swimming for a good 30 minutes or more after he grew to like it. What I really think got him interested in swimming was the fact that Mommy could reach into the sand and pull up rocks for him to throw into the lake. What fun! It will be interesting to see if he remembers swimming and is excited about it the next time we visit the cabin, or if he is scared again. Aside from swimming, Jackson spent most of the weekend hanging out with his buddy Jake....and by "hanging out" I mean "indian-giving" toys to Jake over and over again (i.e. giving Jake a toy when he reached for it and then taking it right back from him).
