At Their New Schools*

The boys' first days at their new schools went really well. Jackson didn't show any anxiety about arriving or being left there for the day. In fact, when I showed up to get him at the end of the day, he asked if I could "just leave" because he wasn't ready to go home. The kids were just getting ready to go outside and he didn't want to miss the fun. I'm also happy to report that the second day's drop off went equally smooth!
Luke's first day back at his original daycare in my office building seems to have gone fine too. No tears when we left him there in the morning and the new surroundings didn't seem to interfere with his appetite or napping much either. There was some separation anxiety and tears from Luke this morning when I left him, but ya know, how much fuss can an 11 month old put up? Certainly not enough to make me stay!
** In order to clarify this title for those who are inclined to be offended by such labels, please note that Luke is not attending an ACTUAL school; it's a daycare. He is also being cared-for by daycare workers, not teachers.

Red Fraggle

Jackson has held onto this thing for dear life ever since snatching it from his Aunt Maureen's house. She has gotten pretty ratty, pretty fast.

Just to be clear,I'm talking about Red, not Maureen. :)

For the Record...

...you can add "all done" to Luke's list of new tricks. It does technically sound more like "aaalll doe" but he mimics the sing-song way that we have been saying it him so it is unmistakable.
