I Think That Jackson Has Mistaken the Phrase "Economic Recession" for "Emotional Regression"
Jackson looks like he loves Luke here, although I am not always convinced of that based on his inability to treat Luke gently. Jackson has been exhibiting a bit of jealousy and regression since Luke arrived and it can be frustrating for me. Not surprisingly, the first place that the regression showed up was in the potty training. Everyone said it would, I just HATE when everyone is right. He had it down. We were done potty training. But the regression got to the point that he had 2 accidents in the SAME DAY at daycare last week. Plus, he has started to get out of his bed and into mommy and daddy's bed at night. He has run into our room after we thought he was down for the night only to discover him under our covers when we go to bed ourselves. Other times he comes and sneaks into bed in the middle of the night, while one of us is attending to Luke. I think that he's seen us lying down with Luke in the morning a few too many times and that he thinks that he's being left out of the pajama party. Cause, ya know, we're having LOADS of fun!
I just hope this all stops quickly and that we've already hit the "worse" part so that things can go back to being "better". If I wasn't afraid of jinxing things, I say that he appears to be starting to get back in order this week - But I would NEVER say such a thing....

Luke's Baptism on Sunday
I told you he was an angel face in my last post. I don't think he let out a peek during the whole ceremony, including during the actual baptism itself. Like Jackson shouted, "hey, he's not crying!" Aunt Maureen had prepped him for the fact that Luke would probably cry, just like he did. Luke then proceeded to show them up!

*** For reference, here is a link to Jackson in the same outfit on his baptism. See any resemblence between the two?

1 Month Doctor's Visit
Luke went to the pediatrician yesterday for his one month well-child visit. He's grown so much that we expected him to weigh a ton, but the scales surprised us: 11lbs, 5oz. He doesn't weigh quite as much as Jackson at this age, but he's still a "big 'un". I guess that after having Jackson, my sense of "average" size for babies is a bit skewed, but he's still huge compared to most kids his age. Of course, Luke's appointment was a few days early, so maybe by the 12th of the month Luke would weigh the same as Jackson did at one month? If nothing else, Luke's visit has shown me how impressive it was that Jackson reached 11lbs, 11oz at this age, considering that Luke had nearly a pound head-start on him!
